The sky’s the limit for the companies named on Fast Company’s 50 Most Innovative Companies 2017 list, – not to mention that InvestX also offered Uber and Spotify as exclusive deals in 2016.
The leading music service has been plowing even further ahead of the curve, landing itself #10 of the 50 Most Innovative Companies 2017 list. Adding algorithmically smart personal playlists like Fresh Finds and Release Radar has allowed them to generate even more listeners and active users. Its current 100 million users—40 million of whom are paying subscribers—can also now integrate Spotify into matchmaking apps Bumble and Tinder. Spotify is currently valued at $8 billion, with 2,000 employees.
Notorious car-sharing service Uber also fast-tracked themselves to position #3 on the list. The American-based transportation app headquartered in San Francisco launched in 2010 and is currently sitting at a $68 billion valuation. Uber’s competitive advantage is that it partners with other companies to monetize its data. For example, in 2015, Uber launched a partnership with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, which allows Starwood Preferred Guests to receive points whenever they use an Uber. Uber is currently available in 73 companies around the world.
